The French way is the best known, in the whole world, from all the itineraries that lead to Santiago de Compostela, after the French monk, Aymeric Picaud, has written, in the 12th century, her Liber Sancti Jacobi -du Codex Calixtinus-, for some the first guidebook in the history, since there are described its four main ways in France and their extension on Spanish land.
It is also what the cyclists prefer, since the first of them have started to do it during the 60’s. |
