The Via Francigena has represented through the course of the Middle Ages the route completed by all pilgrims of Europe towards Rome, sacred city of Christians and centre of the Papacy.
Along this twisting route, there were numerous steps for the restoration of the body and spirit and still today it is possible to indicate, in the interior of the territory of Canavese, the serious Roman testimonies. For this reason, thanks to a co-ordinated promotion of several territorial truths inserted in a project of the European Union, the Via Francigena becomes a good pretext to know the Lands of Canavese and some localities in particular.
