 Le strade cristiane per Roma
The ways of pilgrimage towards Rome have been reconstructed and proposed for the Jubilee 2000. Faith, art, history are all on the roads of the ancient "Romei" pilgrims, so that we see with our eyes the same as they saw with theirs.

With the aid of maps, it generates and features the main routes of pilgrimage toward Rome, of which we find traces in the "guides" or "medieval memories" of travel. The testimonies and images closely illustrate buildings, remarkable works of art and things which pilgims see during their voyage. The medieval taste comes from various complementary witnesses, daily textual citations, medieval travel notes, local legends, the histories of miracles, news from along the distance of the pilgrimage.
