More than sixty contemporary portraits realised based on interviews, about thirty historical portraits realised based on archives, many historical, sociological, contextual texts, hundreds of photographs. The whole articulates with the exhibition according to four stages: Leaving, Arriving, Staying and Being.

The first book, Leaving, evokes the reasons of departure: in search of a better life, rural migration, family regrouping, exile.

The second book, Arriving, testimonies through various spaces like the workplaces, the schools, the churches, the associations, the trade unions, the family, the neighberhoud of the settlement in the host country.

The third volume, Staying and Being, presents in its first part, the life story of those who stayed, their various forms of engagements and divisions. The second part, Being, is a space open towards the future, around the notions of cultural interbreeding, citizenship and childrens of Luxembourg.

The books are available only on the french version for the moment.
