| The Centre de la Gravure et de l'Image imprimée in La Louvière, Belgium, is housed in a contemporary building with 1.200 sq m of exhibition space on three levels. There is no other museum of engravings and printed art quite like it.
The museum functions both as a meeting point, and as a place for creativity and research. It is financed by the Communauté Française de Belgique. Its primary objective is to promote contemporary graphic art, but particularly via the exceptional collection of 5,500 prints, 5,000 posters and 500 artists? books and portfolios.
Opening hours:
During temporary exhibitions: from tuesday to friday from 12 am to 6 pm, week-end from 11am to 6 pm.
Administrative duty: from monday to friday from 9am to 5 pm.
Free entrance every first sunday of the month. |
