The Nature Park covers 300 km² and is characterized by high plateau and rock valley dugs by the Our and the Clerf.
>
Inside of the Nature Park, the valley of the middle Our shows an exceptional landscape: on 20 km not even a human intervention deformed the natural area. The valley provides shelter for endangered species as such as the black stork, the hazel grouse or the wildcat.
>
The Nature Park isn't only rich in landscapes, it also has a lot of important cultural sites. In Stolzembourg is the Musée de la Mine that recounts the history of the copper ore extraction in the valley. The agricultural museums in Munshausen and Binsfeld show the old traditional techniques.
>
One of the most important castle of Luxembourg is to find in Vianden, the city where Victor Hugo used to stay. His house is now a museum. As for the castle of Clervaux, it hosts the photographic exhibition The family of Man.

| Platform for the sustainable development |
The Nature Park Our was officially created on 9th June 2005 thanks to a grand-ducal regulation.
>
The intercommunity trade union of the Our Valley (SIVOUR) was on the project's initiative. Created in 1992, the SIVOUR groups almost all the communes that are located in the Nature Park Our together. In 1994, it asked the town and country planning ministry to start a procedure in favour of a nature park.
>
The creation of the nature park aims at the setting up of a balance between the nature protection and the economic and sociocultural development of the territory.
>
The Nature Park Our is a platform for the region's sustainable development. It plays an important part in the dynamism of the cultural and tourist activities but also gives a better quality of life for the natives and protects the environment.
