"Think About" is a project implemented by the Luxembourg "Service de Sites et Monuments Nationaux" (Department of National Sites and Monuments) within the framework of the Council of Europe's campaign "Europe, a Common Heritage". This route has allowed the rediscovery of the 12 cantons' heritage, each of them illustrating a particular period or theme, a strong time of Luxembourg identity with global importance.
In each "Think About" place, during the year 2000, commemorative steles were erected on the elected theme (11 steles to date).
This route deals with several fields of cultural, scientific and natural heritage, characteristic of the evolution of society in Luxembourg within a European context. It is supposed to convey a memory which explains and allows comparisons, which invites thought and opens new perspectives.
Luxembourg, land of passage, of exchange and sharing, has managed to preserve the marks of those who passed through and of those who settled, becoming a real place of confluence.
From the Middle Age to new technologies, through "lëtzebuergesch" or religious heritage : there are many components of this identity that has nurtured itself on manifold influences during 2000 years. A route that invites you to live and live again, through travel in time and space, thanks to the 12 "Think About", the big flows of history that made Luxembourg a little land rich with culture and future.

The National Service for Sites and Monuments of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg prepared an exhibition on cultural routes in 1996 for the meeting of the Ministers responsible of Cultural Heritage.
In summer 2002, three panels specially dedicated to the Memories of Luxembourg join the exhibition, here is an example of these panels.
