A necessary restoration of the balance of representation
With the expansion of Europe, there will be a re-balancing concerning the representation of each country in the European Comission, in the Parliament… , according to the demographical weight of the member states.
European symbols not integrated enough
Of course, the young French know the €uro, the European flag or even the European hymn, but they were surprised to learn the European motto « Unity in diversity », and also the « Europe day » on the 9th May. It could therefore be judicious to make the 9th May a holiday so that this symbol takes a real place in the lives of all Europeans.

| The reactions of the Italian group |
The Italians appreciated Mrs Laurence Matas’ intervention, which allowed them to enrich their knowledge on a subject already heard at school, but very difficult to approach, and to ask themselves questions on the relations which connect the European Institutions, Europe and Europeans :
- They had the chance to know more about the European budget they knew nothing about.
- However, while underlining the importance of the institutions and their role within the European Union, they regret the absence of communication between the same organisms and the Europeans and the youngsters in particular.
