Iron in a rural environment The Museum of Rural Life in Peppange (L) opens a new permanent space dedicated to the presence of iron in a rural environment. documentation centre on human migrations Antoinette Reuter 17 September 2008 The Museum of rural life of Peppange (L) is more than just a site of peasant memory. For several years the place developed an interest in rural activities and artefacts linked to the iron production in a rural environment. In this spirit first a smithy and more recently a section dedicated to heating techniques - largely linked to early metallurgy through the production of cast iron stoves - have opened at the museum.
