Graduated from Rijeka Polytechnic School, Architectural Department; Pedagogical Academy, Arts; and, Zadar Philosophy Faculty in Art history and Philosophy. Successfully completed at the International Centre for Monument Protection (ICCROM), Rome, a specialised post-graduate study for the protection of architectural heritage. Commencing in the early 1970's worked in the Institute for the Protection of Monuments of Culture, Zadar, achieving the position of director in 1977. In mid- 1990's was nominated as the chief conservator for the Republic of Croatia. From 1999, assumed the position of assistant to the Minister of Culture in the department for the Protection of Cultural Monuments. Currently, the president of National Commission of ICOMOS and the president of the Specialist Advisors Commission for the Reconstruction of Dubrovnik. Participates in numerous specialised commissions and leads various activities to protect monuments of cultural significance in Middle Dalmatia. |
