Catherine Dimitsantou Kremezi,
born in Athens, is an architect (diploma 1967), Professor of Architecture
at the National Technical University of Athens since 1990. She has more than
thirty years of experience in teaching and active architecture. Since the
beginning of this period, as a teaching member in the Lab. of Architectural
Morphology (Architectural Styles and Forms ) at the N.T.U.A. has been involved
in the domain of historic and vernacular architectural environment as well
as in the domain of the contemporary architecture - the methodical architectural
analysis and the design.
She is a member of :
- The Scientific Researching and Teaching Staff, Architectural Morphology
Lab. N.T.U.A
- The Teaching Staff of Post graduate studies in conservation of historic
cities, N.T.U.A
- The Management Committee of Greek Aesthetics Association-Athens.
- The International Scientific Committee of Cultural Tourism - voting member
from Greek branch of ICOMOS.
- The Technical Chamber of Greece.
- The Architects Greek Association
SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
The courses she teaches are related : a) to the architectural relieve of historical
buildings, b) to the analysis and composition of contemporary architectural
design and c) to the analysis of traditional architecture and the integration
of contemporary architecture into a traditionally structured environment.
She supervises theoretical and design works of students diploma as well as
thesis (doctorat).
Her research work is connected
with the field in which she teaches and has been published as follow :

4. She participate also at two more research programs concerning the preservation
of traditional environment.
She has also participated in
the organization of scientific congresses such as : ''Architectural Relieves
of Monuments'', ''Tourism and Monuments - Cultural Tourism'', ''New Town above
the Old Town'', '' The education of aesthetics in elementary school level''
etc.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
As a graduate architect-engineer she has carried out a large number of studies
of different types of architectural projects-private and public- such as houses,
offices, restoration of traditional buildings and the incorporation into them
of new applications, rehabilitation of traditional squares, etc . She collaborates
with the design office OMETE S.A., civil engineers, as a consultant on matters
in her field.
